Our Metabolic Boost recipe blends pure stone-ground cacao with energising spices like ginger, cayenne, and cinnamon — a powerful way to fuel your body and support digestion, naturally.

This drink combines the antioxidant-rich power of 100% pure dark chocolatewith thermogenic spices that have been used for centuries to aid circulation and digestion.

  • Cayenne Pepper – May help stimulate metabolism and circulation

  • Ginger & Cinnamon – Known to support digestion, reduce inflammation, and balance blood sugar

  • Pure dark chocolate– Packed with magnesium, iron, and mood-lifting compounds

Ingredients

First, lets make the Spice Mix (it makes roughly 130g)

  • 5g cayenne pepper

  • 75g cinnamon powder

  • 50g ginger powder

  • Vanilla bean extract (liquid, added to the drink)

Mix together and store in a cool, dry place.

Tip: Use less cayenne if you’re spice-sensitive!

Now for the hot chocolate, you will need

  • 30g KKAO 100% Pure Dark Chocolate Flakes

  • 1 tsp Metabolic Boost spice mix

  • A drop of vanilla bean extract

  • 1 cup of milk (your choice — oat, almond, soy, or dairy)

  • Optional: add your favourite natural sweetener (honey, maple, monk fruit, etc.)

Method

  1. Add chocolate flakes, spice mix, vanilla extract, and warmed milk to a blender.

  2. Blitz for 1 minute until silky smooth.

  3. Taste and sweeten if desired.

Prefer it iced?
Melt the flakes first in a splash of hot water, then blend with cold milk or coconut water.
