Step 1: Choose Your Sweetener Naturally 🍯

Our KKAO 100% Pure Dark Chocolate Flakes are intentionally unsweetened so you can take full control over the flavour. Here are some of our favourite natural options:

  • Raw Honey – supports immunity with enzymes & antioxidants

  • Maple Syrup – rich in zinc and manganese

  • Coconut Sugar – low-GI with a subtle caramel flavour

  • Date Syrup or Paste – full of fibre and antioxidants

  • Unprocessed Stevia Leaf – plant-based with zero calories

  • Monk Fruit Extract – sweet without blood sugar spikes

  • Blackstrap Molasses – rich in iron, calcium, and magnesium

Tip: Start with a small amount — your taste buds adjust quickly to 100% cacao.

Step 2: Blend the Perfect Cup 

You’ll need:

  • 30g KKAO Dark Chocolate Flakes

  • 130ml warm milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 100ml hot water

  • Your favourite natural sweetener

Instructions:

  1. Add chocolate flakes and warm milk + water to a blender.

  2. Blitz for 1 minute until velvety and smooth.

  3. Add your chosen sweetener and blend briefly again.

Prefer it cold?
Melt flakes in a little hot water first, then blitz with cold milk or coconut water.

Step 3: Customise the Base & Spice It Up 

Make your hot chocolate even more you:

  • Switch up the base – try oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, or even coconut water. Each brings its own flavour.

  • Add ground spices – for warmth and extra health benefits. We love cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, or clove.
